If you are definitely the fan of Bioshock series, you’ll immediately realize the font used in the Minecraft resource pack of Ozzy’s Deep Sea Deco, which was specifically designed to give the game a steampunk look. Also, the pack was actually created to work along with the Underwater City Aquain – a custom map made by the same author. Of course, it looks great with this target map, but if you plan to do some building beneath the water surface or you like making something on the land which rivals the bustling but primitive cities in the last century, Ozzy’s Deep Sea Deco resource pack can help a lot to make it happen.
By replacing almost standard textures in Minecraft with new imagery inspired by Steampunk fantasy, the Art Deco movement, the Futurism of the 1950s, together with other elements, Ozzy’s Deep Sea Deco resource pack does an excellent job in making Minecraft totally look like a different game. Sure, some of its textures are still the same, such as tree blocks; however, the wood planks made from these old blocks also gain a new and better look thanks to the pack’s boosted resolution.
Despite the fact that Ozzy’s Deep Sea Deco resource pack features many positive aspects, it still has some glaring flaws. Firstly, several of its painting images have been ripped out from the game, but replaced by text used as filler! Besides, some of the paintings also have new images, but why would the pack creator remove the other images if there’s nothing to replace them with? Yes, it is kind of annoying, particularly for those who love dressing up their homes with a lot of art. Other textures that could’ve been improved, like the chests, were untouched. Well, these defects make the pack imperfect, but we all know that nothing is perfect in this world and overall, Ozzy’s Deep Sea Deco is still a pretty nice change of Minecraft’s appearance.
