Pig Companion Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10/1.7.2

Do you want to have a friendly companion to follow you on your lone adventure and protect you? Then, you should check out Pig Companion Mod. This is probably one of the cutest and lovely mod. It allows you to tame pink porkers then turn them into your friendly mobs which attack any enemy and hostile creatures throughout Minecraft. So they protect you like a guard. This mod is really a useful one in single player mode as there are many mobs and it’s too tough for lone players to beat.

You first need to equip pigs with a helmet. And only then you can tame them with seeds which can be found anywhere there is grass and breed them with wheat. It is also necessary to hold some wheat in your hands if you want them to follow you.  You can give them helmets of leather, iron, gold, or diamond to increase their health. Of course, the more expensive the helmet is, the more health your pigs will have. For instance, a leather helmet grants your pigs 1.5x more health than normal while a diamond helmet gives your pig 5x more health than normal.

Armored pig companions can easily kill skeletons, zombies, and many other bipedal mobs. However, they can get wrecked by some other mobs such as the Enderman and the normal and cave spiders. The Enderman may require players to have more than just one pig and have them armored with diamond helmets. The Pig Companion Mod is still being updated. The future update may come with new additions such as a super saddle which allows players to turn armored pig companions into war horses, etc.
